Product: HP Officejet Pro 8600 plus

The HP Smart App allows me to enrol for the "Instant Ink" subscription service where it appears to allow Officejet Pro 8600 plus as an eligible printer for Instant Ink service. However it appears that my enrolment hasn't been actually activated perhaps because there may be issues with the firmware not able to work with "Instant Ink" feature or something else. Is there any way of updating the Officejet Pro 8600 Plus to make it compatible with "Instant Ink", could the printer firmware be updated (I assume the original firmware may not be currently aligned to Instant Ink) ?

Greatly appreciate if someone can propose a solution?

It seems to me that Officejet Pro 8600 Plus has all the main functions needed to make it work with "Instant Ink" so I would urge HP to find a solution to this.

@Tanveer_ca, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

I'm sorry, the Officejet 8600 plus printer is not eligible for Instant Ink service. Updating the firmware will not help here.

You can check this on the Instant Ink home page under the 'Sign up now' box - Check to see if your HP printer works with Instant Ink
