My HP Photosmart C4780 prints blank pages. I have tried the suggested steps (I saw someone on the forum have the same problem and I followed the steps that worked for them) of removing the print cartridges, unplugging the printer... and then replacing the print cartridges (the black cartridge is new and the color one is low) after plugging back in.  I try and print out an alignment page and it makes all the noises and sounds like it is printing, but the page comes out blank. I am hesitant to buy a new color cartridge until I am sure the printer doesn't have issues.  I don't know what else I can do.  I have cleaned the inside- it just doesn't seem to print (not photocopies or the alignment page).  Since I reset it, I can't get past the alignment b/c it won't print out a page for me to scan.

Please help.

Thank you!

@firepaw, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I see that the printer is printing blank pages. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - Fixing Print Quality Problems for the HP Photosmart C4600 and C4700 All-in-One Printer Series

You will have to use an alternate color ink cartridge to conclude if the issue is with the printer or not.

As the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer in this case. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
