I don't know how HP managed to take the relatively simple process of installing a driver and make it overly complicated with HP Print Smart.  After I bought a Windows 11 computer, the HP Printer that worked perfectly on the previous version of windows will not work.  I  cannot get HP SMART to install the printer with the wi-fi option and HP tells me I don't get the full features if I install via USB.  This is terrible.  I doubt I will ever buy another HP printer again.  Just give me a drive, let me click "Install" and be done with it.

HP Recommended

You can download a driver from hp.com and install it, you don't need to use hp smart.
