In HP Smart app the diagnose & fix button disappeared (left bottom). My printer is offline and when I was able to print in the past, it printed only part of the document, and the rest of the document had colored ink and no verbiage. I have a HP Smart Take 5100 series. I can't fix the issues since I can't diagnose them.

Update
I cannot find a reason for the HP Smart application to have lost the app's "fix-it" wrench icon (diagnostics).
If you have not done so,
Try / Consider

If the HP Smart diagnostics are down, it might be related a a current issue with the HP Support Assistant download. Yes, it's odd and might not be related to your exact issue. Just the same, it's suspicious. The problem with HPSA has been reported. When the source of the issues are fixed, things should recover.
Restart everything, including your router.
Hope things start working or at least the diagnostics come back
If you want to continue...
You can fix almost anything manually -- diagnostic tools try to point you in a direction but are generally not the only way to get things working.
For now,
Ignore any steps that instruct you to run the Diagnostics or tools that are not available to you.
If the printer cannot print correctly -- for example, partial printing, wrong or missing colors - that is a Print Quality issue.
If the printer is complaining of being Offline, that's a connection problem.
Maybe start with the Print Quality issue - go as far as you can to check / clean the printer.

Printer - Specifications
The printer supports Wireless on the 2.4GHz Frequency.
Connect the printer to your SSID named network for that frequency / band.

Reminders
Do not ignore your router --
A router that is weak, outdated, poorly located, or incorrectly configured can cause all sorts of odd network behavior issues.
If the printer supports it, connecting using Ethernet is generally a better choice.
If your router supports it, create a separate SSID named network for each frequency.
Connect the printer to the SSID network you want the printer to use on the network.
Wireless
Some printers, particularly older models, only support Wireless at 2.4GHz
Some printers support Wireless at both 5GHz and 2.4GHz – but not at the same time
Regardless, if the printer won't work or cannot connect to your 5GHz SSID named network, connect to the 2.4GHz network.
If you are running a Dual Band Network,
Check that the router is set up to broadcast all frequencies it supports.
Next,
If your router supports it,
On your router:
Create a separate SSID named network for each frequency supported by the router
What? Create one SSID named network for 5GHz and one SSID named network for 2.4GHz
and
Connect the printer to the SSID named network on the frequency / band you want it to use.
In general,
- 2.4GHz is less fussy about obstacles and supports a longer distance (separation) between router and device (printer)
- 5GHz is faster
