Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 8216 Printer

I installed a new HP 952XL ink cartridge after my current one ran out of ink. The printer won't print: "Cartridge for older generation of printer."  Even though the cartridge I installed was newer than the one I removed. I did have the firmware updated since I replaced cartridges.

@ sandytech:  Thanks for trying to help. I had tried all the items from that page to no avail. I did buy another new cartridge. This one works. I still have a full non-usable cartridge if any one wants one!
