Deskjet 3522

I bought an HP Deskjet 3522 at a resale store and it didn’t come with the setup ink cartridges. I purchased genuine hp cartridges to use in it but it’s telling me I need the setup cartridges that came with the printer. I don’t have them. What can I do? I need to use the printer…

Hi. You suggested I contact hp support for the steps needed to bypass the setup cartridge lock. I already tried this, before I came here. After entering my serial and product number, hp support tells me the product is no longer under warranty and they cannot provide support. They suggested I come here.

 

I see that you send the steps to bypass in a private message to everyone else— why can’t you do the same for me? This has been very frustrating so far…

I am a college student, I need to be able to use this printer for school. I bought the the genuine hp cartridges for it, I just don’t have the setup cartridge that should’ve been in the box. Can you please send me the steps to bypass this setup lock for my hp3522 deskjet printer?

This model does not have such options to bypass the setup ink cartridges.

Hi. After a few days of trying to get through to support as you recommended, I was able to get a ticket number and called in to speak to them.  They could not help me with the steps to bypass setup cartridges on this particular model of printer. HP support was friendly but he told me the printer is obsolete and they don’t even have support documentation for it anymore.  

It’s as good as trash. I wasted money on genuine HP printers and buying this printer because I can’t use it and the ink is opened now so I can’t return it.  So 3500 series is dead I guess.
