Hello! I have a gifted old printer and it keeps asking for “set up” cartridges, which I don’t have. How can I bypass this?

Hi @FireworksSoar12,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry, but unfortunately, it is not possible to bypass the requirement for "set up" cartridges in your HP printer. Set up cartridges is necessary for initialising the printer and is typically provided with a new device. They help in calibrating the printer and ensuring it works correctly.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
