I've been more than happy with my HP OfficePro 6978 All-in-One for the entire time I've owned it. Until now. It absolutely refuses to use non-HP ink cartridges. I've tried every "solution" this website and many others have suggested, and Nothing works.

Does anyone have a way? I've updated the Firmware, installed new drivers, tried to roll back to the old firmware, and disabled the so-called "Cartridge Protection". 

I hope someone has the time and money to go after a class-action lawsuit, because this should NOT be legal. (They unlocked cell phones; they can unlock this!)

If no one comes up with an answer by tomorrow morning, I will send my machine to Goodwill, and buy a new printer from a different company. I refuse to patronize a company that does this to its customers.
