Operating System: Other

First my black ink was finished so I removed it to buy other one so till then I was just taking xerox with colour ink I think at that time it turned into single cartridge mode and I was not knowing this after that when I was printing it was showing that single cartridge mode is on. I searched all over internet how to turn off single cartridge mode? And it not worked. Just help me for this.

Welcome to the HP support community.

 

Install both the black and tri-color cartridges in the HP Deskjet 3540 series to exit single-cartridge mode.

Refer page number 47 in this user guide for more assistance:- Click here
