- How do I get a defective ink cartridge replaced?

Replaced tri-color ink cartridge (62XL) with new cartridge and get the following message:
Ink Cartridges Problems
Remove and reinstall the indicated ink cartridge, making sure it is correctly installed, and then touch OK.
Reinstalled new cartridge multiple times. Get the same message. Replaced with old cartridge -- no message.
Examined new cartridge. No visible printed circuit on ink cartridge. This appears to be a manufacturing problem. See image below.
