HP Recommended

I purchased several ink cartridges for my HP printer, but there's an error message that says I can only use HP ink cartridges. Is there a way to disable this "protection" feature. Feels like Apple....

HP Recommended

The Officejet Pro 9010 series printers have "Dynamic Security".  From the firmware update page:

 

Reminder: Dynamic security enabled printer. This Firmware includes dynamic security measures, which are used to block cartridges using a non-HP chip or modified or non-HP electronic circuitry. The printer is intended to work only with new or reused cartridges that have a new or reused HP chip or circuitry. Periodic firmware updates will maintain the effectiveness of the dynamic security measures and block cartridges that previously worked. More at: www.hp.com/learn/ds.

 

I would suggest contacting your supplier for a compatible cartridge.
