Hi @debasish0205,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To remove air from the ink pipes in an HP Smart Tank 670 printer, you can try the following steps to help clear any air bubbles and ensure proper ink flow.
Run a Printhead Cleaning Cycle:
- Turn on the printer and ensure it has enough paper loaded.
- Go to the printer’s Control Panel or HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Select Settings > Maintenance > Clean Printhead. This process forces ink through the printheads and can push out air bubbles.
- Print a test page after the cleaning cycle to see if print quality has improved.
Check Ink Levels:
- Make sure the ink tanks are adequately filled. Low ink levels can sometimes draw air into the pipes.
- If any tanks are low, refill them according to the instructions in your printer’s manual.
Perform a Second Cleaning Cycle:
- If you still see air bubbles or experience print quality issues, run a second cleaning cycle.
- Repeat until print quality improves, but avoid running multiple cycles continuously, as this can deplete the ink levels.
Manual Ink Purging (if supported):
- Some HP printers support manual purging procedures in the maintenance settings. Check the user manual or HP Smart app to see if this option is available for your model.
Leave the Printer On:
- HP recommends keeping the printer powered on to help maintain the ink flow, especially if it’s used infrequently.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
