Hp Envy 4512 displays incompatible cartridges message in spite of replacing with new Hp cartridges.

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.  

  

If your HP Envy 4512 printer is displaying an "Incompatible Cartridges" message even after installing new HP cartridges, try these troubleshooting steps:

 

1. Check Cartridge Compatibility

  • Ensure that you are using genuine HP 63 (Black or Tri-color) cartridges.
  • If unsure, check the cartridge model number on the packaging or HP's website.

2. Reset the Printer

  • With the printer ON, unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in.
  • Turn the printer ON and check if the issue persists.

3. Clean Cartridge Contacts

  • Turn off the printer and open the cartridge access door.
  • Remove the ink cartridges carefully.
  • Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water to clean the copper-colored contacts.
  • Let them dry for a few minutes, then reinsert them securely.

4. Reinstall the Cartridges Properly

  • Turn on the printer and open the cartridge door.
  • Remove and reinsert the cartridges firmly until they click into place.

5. Update Printer Firmware

  • Go to HP Support and check for the latest firmware updates.
  • Install the update using HP Smart or HP Printer Assistant
