Hi @Rich4261,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP ENVY 6055 All-In-One Printer stopped printing after cancelling HP Instant Ink and installing store-bought cartridges, here are the steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Check Cartridge Compatibility
    • Make sure the cartridges are genuine HP 67 or 67XL ink cartridges.
    • Instant Ink cartridges will not work after cancellation, as they are subscription-locked.

  2. Remove and Reinsert Cartridges
    • Turn on the printer.
    • Open the ink cartridge access door.
    • Wait for the carriage to stop moving.
    • Remove both cartridges and reinsert them firmly until they click into place.

  3. Restart the Printer
    • Power off the printer.
    • Unplug it from the wall for 60 seconds.
    • Plug it back in and turn it on.

  4. Update Printer Firmware
    • On the printer control panel, go to:
      • Setup > Printer Maintenance > Update Printer > Check Now
    • Or use the HP Smart app to check for updates.

  5. Run a Print Test
    • Try printing a test page from the HP Smart app or your computer.

  6. Reset the Printer (if needed)
    • Restore factory defaults:
      • On the control panel, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore > Restore Factory Defaults

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
