Microsoft Windows 11

I purchased new ink cartridges for my HP deskjet 4152e printer in December - I printed two pictures and now March 11th I have no ink to print. Does the ink evaporate?

Once installed in the printer, ink is meant to be used.

Generally, printing something once a week that uses the colors is enough to keep the ink viable.

It doesn't have to be much --

Perhaps the ink is not actually gone (or completely dried) and can be rescued --

What about?

Letting a printer sit  for extended periods -- especially if switched off and unable to perform its self maintenance -- might result in dried up ink cartridges.

It's a tough call -

Use ink to help keep the printer working as expected

Or

Do not use the printer to save on ink and chance having the ink dried out or unusable when needed
