I just had to replace all four cartridges. At first it told me I needed black, then yellow, then Cyan then Magenta. With my prior HP printer I could change the depleted cartridges one at a time as they were empty. I liked replacing just what I needed not all of them. I'm hoping this is not the new normal. I hardly ever use color and it's hard to imagine they all became empty at the same time. Hoping I can just replace what is needed when it is needed. dbogen

That is relatively normal if you were still using those cartridges that came with the new printer. With replacement cartridges, you will be replacing them one by one depending on the usage of each colour.
