Hi @Rostrel,
Thank you for your response,
If you have accidentally filled the wrong color ink in one of the tanks of your smart tank printer, you can try to drain it out by following these steps:
- Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Open the ink tank cover and carefully remove the ink tank containing the wrong color ink.
- Use a syringe or an ink extractor tool to remove the ink from the tank. Be careful not to damage the tank or spill the ink.
- Dispose of the wrong color ink properly and clean the tank with a lint-free cloth or tissue.
- Refill the tank with the correct color ink and reinsert it into the printer.
- Close the ink tank cover and turn on the printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hi @Rostrel,
Thank you for your response,
The process of removing an HP ink tank will vary depending on the specific model of your HP printer. However, in general, you can follow these steps to remove an HP ink tank.
- Turn on your HP printer and wait for it to become idle.
- Open the printer cover or access door to reveal the ink cartridges.
- Locate the ink tank you wish to remove. Most HP ink tanks are labeled with the color of ink they contain.
- Press down on the ink tank you wish to remove. Some HP printers require you to press down on the front of the ink tank, while others require you to press down on a button located next to the tank.
- While pressing down on the ink tank, gently pull it out of the printer.
- Dispose of the ink tank according to local regulations. Some areas may allow you to recycle the ink tank, while others may require you to dispose of it as hazardous waste.
- If you need to replace the ink tank, carefully insert the new ink tank into the printer, making sure it clicks into place.
- Close the printer cover or access door and wait for the printer to initialize the new ink tank before printing.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
