I THOUGHT YOUR COMPANY AND  ALL OTHER PRINTER COMPANIES AREN'T ALLOWED TO FORCE THE PUBLIC TO BUY YOUR INK. THAT OFF BRAND INK IS ALLOWED BY LAW. WHY IS YOUR COMPANY NOT ALLOWING UAS TO US OFF BRAND INK CARTRIDGES?

@TIMAFF,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

By disabling the HP Cartridge Protection will allow you to use refilled or remanufactured inks. To do so, you can check out your printer settings to disable or if your printer has internet features, open a web browser, and enter your printer’s IP address this will lead you to the Settings option and select HP Cartridge Protection: How to Make Generic Ink Cartridges Work on an HP Printer (yoyoink.com).

Hope this works for you.

Kind Regards,
