HP Deskjet 3545
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP deskjet 3545 printer. It started showing incompatible cartridges' error message. I assumed that the ink must have finished so I ordered new cartridge and installed them. But the issue still persisted. I called the HP support number and they guided to remove all power cables, wait for some time and start again. I did that  but nothing happened. Then I searched various forums and found a response to remove the black cartridge. I did the same and the error message went away. But moment I put the black cartidge back the error message reappeared. With the single colour cartridge I tried to print but my laptop message says insufficient toner and did not print. Though I can take a photocopy from the printer. Is there a solution to this issue. The recommended Cartridge's are 678 for the printer and have been using the same for printer for long time. I have not changed my printers location as well. Kindly advice a solution
