Product: HP 8710

I have a HP 8710 Printer that uses HP 954 ink cartridges. Recently purchased compatible ink cartridge HP 952 however,  when I installed it in the printer this message appears "not intended for use in this printer". The printer was purchased in the United States but was later shipped to Jamaica. Is there any way to get the printer to accept the HP 952 ink?

Hi,

Please open the cartridge access door and clarify what exact cartridge number is listed on the label within the printer itself, is it 952 or 954? what cartridges are currently installed in the printer?

 

 

Generally, 954 are used and sold in Latin America, also printers marketed in Latin America are equipped with the local ink cartridges, 952 cartridges are sold in the USA as described below:
