@Samadhi, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding incompatible cartridge!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand that your HP OfficeJet 4652 All-in-One Printer is displaying an "Incompatible Cartridge" error, even though you are using an HP cartridge. Let’s go through some troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue.
Check Cartridge Compatibility
- Ensure the ink cartridges are genuine HP cartridges and compatible with your printer model.
- The HP OfficeJet 4652 supports HP 63 or HP 63XL cartridges.
- If the cartridge is refilled or third-party, it may not be recognized correctly.
Clean the Cartridge Contacts
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Open the cartridge access door and remove the ink cartridges.
- Gently clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
- Clean the cartridge slot contacts inside the printer.
- Let them dry completely, then reinstall the cartridges.
Update Printer Firmware
- Visit the HP Support website and download the latest firmware update for your printer model.
- Install the update and restart your printer.
Let me know if this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
