HP OfficeJet 4652 All-in-One Printer

Suddenly my printer tells me Incompatible cartridge. I have an HP cartridge in there.i have reset the printer many times without any success. Can you help?

I understand that your HP OfficeJet 4652 All-in-One Printer is displaying an "Incompatible Cartridge" error, even though you are using an HP cartridge. Let’s go through some troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue.

 

Check Cartridge Compatibility

  1. Ensure the ink cartridges are genuine HP cartridges and compatible with your printer model.
    • The HP OfficeJet 4652 supports HP 63 or HP 63XL cartridges.
  2. If the cartridge is refilled or third-party, it may not be recognized correctly.

Clean the Cartridge Contacts

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Open the cartridge access door and remove the ink cartridges.
  3. Gently clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
  4. Clean the cartridge slot contacts inside the printer.
  5. Let them dry completely, then reinstall the cartridges.

Update Printer Firmware

  1. Visit the HP Support website and download the latest firmware update for your printer model.
  2. Install the update and restart your printer.
