I have a HP DeskJet 2320. In the HP Smart App it says that Ink 307XL is supported, but when I put in the 307XL I get the error message, that it is incompatible! So the HP Smart App contradicts itself! 

My situation is, that I am stationed in Tanzania, bought the printer here,  but couldn't get the ordinary 305 ink cartridge here. So when I saw, that 307XL was supported, I ordered that (in order to save money on printing compared to 305) from Denmark, but now it says its incompatible. And it says, that my printer is currently not configured for this Ink cartridge - although it also says, that it is supported???!!!

What can I do to make it work? It is not easy to get or to order another Ink Cartridge here. I am very disappointed!

Are you using an HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2320 All-in-One Printer?

To assist you better, what model printer are you using?

Refer to this document to know how to find the Product Name or Product Number.

Thank you. As per the printer specifications, this printer uses HP 305 Ink cartridges. Kindly use the HP 305 ink cartridges to resolve this issue.

If you are not able to find these ink cartridges in Tanzania, it could be that the printer is not for sale in this country.

Since you have the HP 307 ink cartridges, we can try to perform a region reset on the printer which may help. 

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.  

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
