Product: HP OfficeJet 6958 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Put in a brand new HP Ink Cartridge and the printer states that it is an older generation ink cartridge that can't be used. However, it's the same one I have been using since I purchased the printer. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

If you have older versions then yes, once a new firmware version is released the old is removed from hp.com.

Check the warranty end date on the cartridge if expired and you have the latest firmware in the printer it will not work.
