Hi
Hopefully someone can help me. I keep getting an error message that my cartridge is not installed properly. I have followed all the instructions online
1) Changed the ink cartridge
2) Unplugged from the mains - and taken out all cables and then after powering down turned on again
This worked for a while but now the message is back again and doesn't seem to want to go away.
Any ideas on what to do or do we think the printer needs fixing/replacing.
Appreciate any insights as I'd prefer not to have to buy a new one.

I have until an update by HP earlier this month that locks me out to use anything but their products. Not happy to be not be able to use a printer I own outright any way I want. Their ink is way over priced.

Can you check to see what the last update your printer installed? I am seeing a lot of error codes with HP printers since recent updates in April with HP cartridges and aftermarket ones. I wonder if there is a problem with their latest update that locks out cartridges not HP. If you enter your printer info in the HP.com site you can find all updates made to your computer and check to see if yours has been updated also.
