I purchased a 936 hp black cartridge from Walmart on 8/10/25 and it's almost empty and I've not done much printing. Is this a problem with anyone else and how do I get in contact with HP for a replacement-free?????

I understand your HP 936 black cartridge purchased on 8/10/25 ran out very quickly, even with minimal printing. Let’s go through the steps to address this.

a. Confirm Usage and Cartridge Life

Check the print count and pages printed in the printer’s control panel or HP Smart app.

Sometimes heavy graphics, photos, or drafts can consume ink faster than expected.

b. Check for Possible Issues

Air bubbles or clogged nozzles can cause the printer to use more ink during cleaning cycles.

If your printer frequently runs head cleaning cycles, it can deplete ink faster.

c. Ensure Genuine HP Cartridge

Verify that your cartridge is genuine HP by checking the security label and QR code on the package. Non-genuine cartridges can run out prematurely.
