I just purchased on this site a 3-pack of 962 cartridges after installing all cartridges I get an error message on the cyan cartridge "supply system error" and it shows empty while the Magnetta and yellow show full. Tried rebooting and resetting cartridge and same message. (edited)

@CWO4USCG, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The “Supply System Error” on your HP 962 Cyan cartridge typically indicates a communication issue between the printer and the cartridge. Since Magenta and Yellow are working fine, this points to a possible issue with the Cyan cartridge itself or its connection. Here are some steps to help resolve this:
Power Cycle the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
- Recheck the error.
Reinstall the Cyan Cartridge
- Open the cartridge access door.
- Remove the Cyan cartridge and inspect for:
- Damaged contacts
- Ink leaks
- Protective tape still attached (if new)
- Reinsert it firmly and ensure it clicks into place.
Clean Cartridge and Printer Contacts
- Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
- Gently clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridge and inside the printer.
- Let it dry for 5 minutes before reinserting.
Update Printer Firmware
Outdated firmware can cause cartridge recognition issues.
- Visit: Official HP® Support
- Enter your printer model and install the latest firmware.
Try Another Cyan Cartridge
If available, try a different Cyan cartridge (preferably genuine HP) to rule out a defective unit.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
