New Instant Ink cartridge (black) did not print, How do I get it replaced?

If your new Instant Ink black cartridge for the HP ENVY 5030 All-in-One Printer isn't printing, follow these steps.

 

Check the Cartridge:

  • Make sure the cartridge is properly installed. Remove and reinsert it to ensure it’s seated correctly.
  • Check if there’s any protective tape or cover that you might have missed removing from the cartridge.

Clean the Contacts:

  • Gently clean the cartridge contacts with a soft, lint-free cloth to remove any dust or residue.

Perform a Printer Diagnostic:

  • Run the printer’s built-in diagnostic or cleaning cycle to ensure the printer is functioning correctly. This can often be done through the printer’s settings or software on your computer.

Verify the Cartridge Compatibility:

  • Ensure that the cartridge is compatible with your HP ENVY 5030 and is an Instant Ink cartridge.
