I have box of new 950and 951 ink cartridges and I want to use them but when I try to install them I get a error that they are not intended for this printer. The cartridges in the printer are 950xl and 951xl z10 why won’t the others work?

If you insert your old ink, do you still see the error message?

Thanks!

When I put the old one (950xl/951xl) back in it just says that I need to replace the yellow and cannot continue until I do so. The sticker on the door says it should take the 950/951 cartridges but it will not

Do you've any other set of inks with you?

No I just have the two types! I don’t want to spend another $100 on in cartridges when it say that these should work! I have two sets of the 951 and two set of the 950 and neither of them will work

I have the same issue--I have bought a second set of cartridges from Office Depot today for the correct cartridges. Both times the message from the printer is that the cartridges are defective. What am I supposed to do? The printer worked fine until the color said it was out or ran out even though I only print in black and white... though a blue line will appear with an email address in a letter. Would both sets be defective in original HP packaging? There must be a solution--please help.

When I put the old cartridges in the message is that they (yellow and blue) are empty and Ihave to replace. When I put the new yellow and blue in, the new message is that the cartridges are defective. on the HP Office web monitor it shows initially that they are full and then the error message comes up on the machine--when I go back to the HP monitor on the computer, it then says they are defective. This is on the second set of new cartridges--I took the first set back to Office Depot yesterday. I have tried turning the machine off and disconnecting the power cord, and done so with each set of cartridges. Any suggestions appreciated. The black and magenta don't seem to have an issue--is there any way to bypass yellow and blue and get the machine to print?? Any suggestions??
