Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

After installing a new 920 XL cartridge in my HP Officejet 6500A Plus.  It will not print.  making sound like it is but page is blank.  Also checked the levels of ink.  It says the black ink is empty.  Bad ink cartridge???

I went on you tube. Take out the cartridges and put the bottom in half water and half rubbing alcohol.  Let it sit for about a min. Wipe dry and put back in.  Worked for me.

I would suggest soaking in hot water as described in the post here.  I would specifically avoid alcohol as it can attach the adhesives in the printhead and cause failures.
