I have 2 10-year old 8600 and they have been workhorses but recently I decided to upgrade to LaserJets so I bought two.
I realized I was going through ink like crazy and tried to set up the printer to use draft mode as I have done FOREVER with my inkjet but it is NOT AN OPTION.
It only says ImageREt 3600. No other option is available. I read that is should also display and econo mode with a check box but that does not appear.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the devices and run every troubleshooter. I'm VERY FRUSTRATED. HELP

Hi thanks. I posted another question because your response was in my spam. I hope you see this because you seem to know more than the HP support team.
I was able to download the universal driver but unfortunately it loaded it as a different new printer. It didn’t update the printer I am having trouble with. So this mean I have to select this other printer.
It isn’t ideal. I’d like to apply that universal driver to my printer so it works like your screenshot. I hope this makes sense. In other words it’s a new device. I hope you can help.
