Hi there,
After refilling the black 350 cartridge on my HP Envy 6020, the printer recognises it with low ink and therefore it won't print good. It seems like the cartridge is actually empty.
How do I solve this issue please? I tried watching videos etc but none of them worked unfortunately.
Thanks
Devid

@Devids1, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
HP does not recommend the use of non-HP inks or refilling the ink cartridge. It may or may not work.
The print quality cannot be guaranteed. Do you get any errors?
Download available firmware updates from the HP website
With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
The third-party ink cartridges will work. But there are many cartridges in the market which is refilled and sometimes the chip is not configured to work with the printer. You need to contact the cartridge manufacturer and find out why it's not working. Try a different cartridge supplier and check if that works.
If the issue persists, refer to - Dynamic Security Enabled Printers
There is no option to downgrade the printer firmware. If you find posts/instructions on the same from other community members, You may try it at your own discretion.
You may purchase replacement HP cartridges and other supplies from the HP Store or local retailers.
Hope this helps!

Hi there,
Thanks for your quick reply.
I don't get any errors after refilling the original cartridge.
I've attached a picture to show you how it prints now for some reason. Yesterday I tried to wet the cartridge a bit after watching a few videos and it worked. I tried again this morning and the print was faded like when the ink is low.
I don't know what to try next apart from buying the expensive cartridges.
Kind regards
Devid

@Devids1
I understand your concern. However, as mentioned in my previous post, HP cannot guarantee print quality if you are using non-HP or refilled inks.
You may purchase replacement cartridges and other supplies from the HP Store or local retailers.
Keep me posted for further assistance.
