HP OfficeJet 3830 All-in-One Printer

I placed a brand new ink cartridge in my printer and it still says there are cartridge problems. It has been cleaned, restarted, unplugged. Everything on the website that it says to do to resolve these problems I have done and nothing is working. It printed about 20 pages when the new cartridge was first installed and now no longer prints and tells me there is an issue and theres no ink in the cartridge which I know to be false.

Hi @Toto52294,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

I understand that you are having issues with the cartridge error.

That is an excellent description and a great diagnosis. It is greatly appreciated.

Are you using HP setup cartridges or the HP regular cartridges?

If you are using HP setup cartridges, they may not give you more ink to print as they are only for setting up the printer.

Try updating the firmware. Click here

However, if you have performed all the steps from this document and still having issues, either the cartridges are faulty or the printer itself.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
