I cannot get my HP office jet pro printer 8025E to print out the right right payroll checks for them to get cash. I don't know what I'm doing wrong and need help. They're not passing at the bank to get cash. What am I doing wrong? There's plenty of money in my account for my co.Workers, so I don't know what is going on

Hi @KAIYA777,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're having trouble with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e printer not printing payroll checks correctly, which are then being rejected at the bank. There could be a few possible causes for this issue.
Check Alignment and Formatting
- Alignment: Make sure the printer settings are correct for printing checks. Payroll checks typically need precise alignment, especially when printing details like bank account numbers and signatures.
- Margins: Ensure the margins and layout in the check printing software are set correctly. Even slight misalignments could cause issues when the bank processes the checks.
Check Paper Type and Quality
- Make sure you're using check-compatible paper (typically pre-printed check stock) that meets bank standards.
- Some banks may require MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) printing, which may require a special toner or ink. If you're using regular ink, the bank's scanning systems might not recognize the printed characters.
Verify Check Printing Software
- Software Settings: Ensure that the software you're using to print the payroll checks is configured properly. Double-check the account information, payee details, and amounts being printed.
- Updates: Make sure your check printing software is up to date. Sometimes software updates include important fixes for formatting or bank standards.
Banking Standards
- MICR Line: If the bank is rejecting the checks, it may be because the MICR line (the series of numbers at the bottom of the check) isn't being printed correctly. Ensure the bank account, routing numbers, and other details are properly encoded and positioned on the check.
Check Security Features
- Modern payroll checks often include security features such as watermarks, microprinting, or security inks. Make sure that your checks are printed with the necessary security features, especially if required by the bank.
Printer Calibration
- Recalibrate the Printer: If the print head alignment or color is off, it may cause the checks to be improperly printed. You can recalibrate the printer through the printer settings.
Testing with a Sample Check
- Print a Test Check: Before printing checks in bulk, try printing a test check and taking it to the bank to ensure that it passes. This can help identify any formatting or printing issues before they affect multiple checks.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
