For a few days now, my DeskJet 2700 series printer has not been printing in black, and I have tried all the solutions suggested on the internet and in the HP Smart application.I have tried printing in grayscale, aligning the cartridges, cleaning them, and other ideas that are offered but without positive results.I have read the solution from this conversation, but it doesn't work for me either.
It no longer has a warranty, but I use it every day and I use original cartridges.

Me dí cuenta que las impresoras, como todos los aparatos electrónicos de hoy en día estan hechos para romperse pronto y así comprar otros nuevo. Pues bién, me compre otra impresora de marca Epson que funciona mejor.

@carlitos77, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your HP DeskJet 2720e not printing in black. It sounds like you've already tried several common troubleshooting steps, but let’s go through a detailed set of additional steps that might help fix the issue.
Check Ink Levels
Even though you're using original cartridges, sometimes one of the cartridges might be running low or even defective.
Open the HP Smart app and check the ink levels.
If the black ink cartridge is empty or very low, replace it with a new one.
Verify Cartridge Installation
Ensure that the black ink cartridge is correctly installed. It should be seated firmly in the correct slot.
Turn off the printer and unplug it.
Open the printer’s ink cartridge access door.
Remove and reinstall the black ink cartridge to make sure it's correctly placed.
Close the access door and turn the printer back on.
Check Print Settings
Ensure that your print settings are configured properly to print in color and black.
In HP Smart or through your printing software on your computer, check if the print job is set to print in color or grayscale.
If it’s set to print in grayscale, change it to color or check the black ink settings specifically.
Check for Software or Firmware Updates
Sometimes, an outdated printer driver or firmware can cause printing issues.
Open HP Smart or visit the HP Support website to check for any firmware or driver updates for your DeskJet 2720e.
Install any available updates and restart the printer.
Test With a New Cartridge
If none of the above steps work, there may be a fault with the black ink cartridge itself. Even if you're using original cartridges, defects happen. Try replacing the black cartridge with a new one to see if that resolves the issue.
Also, you may refer to this guide: HP DeskJet 2600, 2700, 4100, 4800 printers - No black ink, wrong colors, other print quality issues ...
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
