My printer model number is HP MFP PRO 126NW. When I am printing a page on the printer machine, instead of one page, two consecutive pages are coming out. Among them, one page is being printed and one blank is coming. How to solve it?

@Amit19960303, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Restart the Printer and Computer

  • Turn off the printer. Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds. Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.
  • Restart your computer to ensure there are no pending software issues.

Place Paper Correctly in the Tray:

  • Make sure the paper is properly aligned with the tray’s paper guides. The paper should be placed straight and flush against the back of the tray.
  • Avoid overloading the paper tray. The paper stack should be at or just below the tray’s maximum capacity line.

Blow Air Between the Sheets of Paper:

  • Gently lift the stack of paper and tap it on a flat surface to help prevent any sheets from sticking together.
  • Lightly blow air between the sheets of paper to loosen any static charge and separate any paper that might be sticking together. This helps reduce the chance of multiple sheets feeding at once

Check for Paper Jam or Misalignment:

  • A paper jam or misalignment inside the printer could be causing the issue with double printing.
  • Open the printer's front and back covers to check for any paper that may be stuck or misaligned.
  • Also, ensure that the paper tray is correctly loaded and aligned.

Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Go to Control PanelProgramsPrograms and Features. Find and uninstall any HP printer software.
  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and download the latest drivers. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only):

Update Printer Firmware

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
