Product: HP OfficeJet 3830 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have had this problem for months.  HP says printer is working fine and test page is good.  When I go to print color pictures or documents in prints in black and white.  I no longer can even choose color printing on print menu.  So frustrating.  This printer worked great for awhile.

OfficeJet 3830 Color option missing from printer preferences - HP Support Community - 8264615

The workaround could also work for your specific HP printer. If it is the case, thanks to give feedback.
