I recently got new cartridges through instant ink and now that I put them in the printer I keep getting an error stating that the cartridges aren't instant ink cartridges. It shows that the black cartridge is fine but the color cartridge is the problem. The virtual agent told me to try updating the printer, turning it off for a while then turning it back on, and cleaning the cartridge and carriage electrical contacts. I tried all of that and it still doesn't work. What am I supposed to do now? This is very frustrating and I can't get ahold of customer service. For some reason it won't pull up a phone number or a chat. What is the point of having a printer if you can't use it? And how are we supposed to get help?

I understand you are not able to print due to this error. I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

 

Make sure the ink cartridges are properly inserted in the printer, you may refer to - Replace HP inkjet printer cartridges

 

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - Ink cartridge error
