Hello! I'm setting up my new 2700e DeskJet and the printer is printing wildly. I have ran the alignment job numerous times through the app and it will timeout once I scan the results. About the third time I tried it, once I scan it's blinking a black cartridge error. I cleaned the print head and color looks great but the black is still bizarre, I don't know if it's smeared or duplicating letters, but it's not legible. I've been through unhelpful bot tool to troubleshoot shoot and searched this community to no avail. I hate printers.

Hi @Ihateprinterd,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand that printer issues can be frustrating. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the problem with your HP 2700e DeskJet.
Check Black Cartridge:
- Make sure the black ink cartridge is properly installed and has enough ink.
- Remove the black cartridge, inspect it for any damage, and reinsert it securely.
Clean the Cartridge Contacts:
- Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
- Remove the black cartridge and clean the electrical contacts with a lint-free cloth.
- Reinsert the cartridge and turn the printer back on.
Update Firmware and Software:
- Ensure that your printer firmware and driver software are up to date. You can check the HP website for the latest updates.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the printer that could be affecting the print quality.
Print a Diagnostic Page:
- Print a diagnostic page to check if the problem persists. This can usually be done from the printer's control panel or through the printer software on your computer.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord, and wait for a few minutes before reconnecting and turning it back on.
Align the Cartridges Manually:
- Some printers allow you to align the cartridges manually through the control panel. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this.
Remember to consult your printer manual for specific instructions related to your model.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
