My printer won't print with any colour. I've replaced the ink cartridges with new ones, despite them having plenty of ink. The test page is ok. Any suggestions?

@Gerry0798, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer not printing any color!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Since you mentioned that the test page prints fine, that’s a good sign—the printer itself and the cartridges seem to be functioning properly. The issue might be software-related or due to print settings. Here’s what I’d suggest:
Check Print Settings
Open the document or image you’re trying to print.
Click Print, then go to Printer Properties or Preferences.
Look for a setting like Grayscale Printing or Black & White and make sure it’s disabled.
Run a Printhead Cleaning
Sometimes dried ink or minor clogs can cause issues.
Open the HP Smart App → Select your printer → Print Quality Tools → Run a Printhead Cleaning cycle.
Update or Reinstall Drivers
Go to Device Manager on your PC.
Find Print Queues, right-click on your printer, and update the driver.
Alternatively, uninstall and reinstall the latest drivers from the HP Support website.
Try a Different Application
Sometimes, specific apps may not send color print jobs correctly. Try printing from another app or saving your file as a PDF and printing from there.
Check Ink Levels in HP Smart
Even if your cartridges are new, it’s worth double-checking the ink status in HP Smart.
If none of these steps work, let me know what happens at each stage, and we’ll figure it out together! 😊
Looking forward to your update!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
