HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer

I've just bought an OfficeJet Pro 9015e and the cartridges that came with the printer do not click into place. When I insert them, it sounds like plastic grinding against plastic, there is no click and they sometimes pop back out.

I've managed to print the alignment page like that but something tells me this is not normal at all.

To be clear, I bought the printer TODAY and those are the cartridges that came IN THE BOX.

Thanks.

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

Try here -- "changing" might be similar enough to "installing ink first time" that the video will be helpful:

Thanks for your reply. Changing the cartridges is straightforward enough. I did exactly what is demonstrated in this video, however :

1) mine don't click when set into place

2) they don't get ejected properly either. When I want to remove them, I press them and they pop out, but just a bit.

Sorry -- No idea.

I have an OfficeJet Pro 9025 -- It does take a bit of a push to snap the cartridges down into place.

The  second part makes sense -- once the cartridge is "pushed / released" , you do need to pull the cartridge the rest of the way free.

I'll forward the question for review by our moderator team.
