Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

Our stores print signage that identifies the sale color for the week.  For a RED tag week, the 8 1/2 X 11 sheet has a red border.  The new Officejet requires color cartridge changes every 2 weeks or so where the previous Officejet 8710 or 8610 would last 2 months or more.  We tried printing those signs in draft mode but the draft color was not adequate.

QUESTION:  Is there anything that can be done to improve the color cartridge life in the Officejet 8025e?

Thanks for your help.

You’re much welcome @WRMThrift ,

The HP Officejet Pro 9010 or 9020 models provides similar yields as your previous models on this matter, as well as other matters and capabilities as digital filing, print speeds, etc.

Cheers,

Shlomi

Hi,

Which cartridges do you use? there are standard and high yield ink cartridges available.

Generally the HP 950/950XL / 952/952XL provide bigger yields, the Officejet Pro 8610/8710 are intended for heavier usage in compare - approx. 1500 color pages for XL cartridges vs. approx. 700 pages for standard yield cartridge.

The Officejet Pro 8025 is a lower end printer in compare, intended for lower usage and  have standard yield cartridges (approx. 315) vs. high yield cartridges (aopprox, 800 pages), in general its capacity is about half the size.

Please note that the setup introductory cartridges are intended for approx. 300 pages.

Please clarify what exact cartridges you currently use, are these setup cartridges, standard yield or XL cartridges? generally an XL cartridge for a 8025 printer is about half the size compare to the other printer models you mention:

Thanks for the clarification of the estimated yield.  We order the XL cartridges when available.  I just spoke to one of the managers who confirmed they were not using the color XL cartridges.  So if i compare the XL yield on the old printer (1500) to the standard yield on the new printer (315) that explains why the cartridges need to be replaced so quickly.

QUESTION: Is there a current HP Officejet that is intended for heaver usage like the previous 8610 / 8710?

Thanks again for your help.
