HP Officejet Pro 8600

My HP Officejet Pro 8600 stopped working.  I am getting an error message that reads, "There is a problem with the printer or ink system.  Turn printer off, then on.  If problem persists, contact HP."  I replace all cartridges.  I replaced print head with remanufactured part.  That did not fix the problem.  I am considering getting OEM new part but don't want to spend the money without knowing if that will fix the problem.  Anyone have this problem before?
