Older generation Cartridge message

My brand new  printer cartridges HP 955XLare saying  they are from an older generation printer.

These are the only ones available at office works, and Ive never had the issue before

Hense I cannot print anything, I alled HP and they told me to trouble shoot take out replace etc 

This hasnt worked 

Any help appreciated

Check the expiration date on cartridges, and if expired that is the reason you have that message on the screen.
