Previous postings on how to bypass HP disabling of existing cartridges will no longer fix the problem because HP has forced postings by others of the earlier firmware to be taken down.   If HP intentionally disables one of their products (in this case a 902XL Combo-Pack), it seems like they would exchange what they broke for one that works.  Is there such an exchange program?  How else can I get the original HP cartridges I have (which states in writing it will work in my printer) to work in my printer?

The specific question is, does HP have an exchange program for original HP ink cartridges that were purchased shortly before the firmware update was pushed that disabled them?   Or have those been rendered permanently useless, a financial loss to the customer?

@SCV13,

Thank you for your response, there is an exchange program but it depends on a few criteria which I have requested in the private message.

Please check your Private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile Next, to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it or simply click on this link.

Keep me posted.
