One color (Blue) does not print.  I have tried all the solutions on the book, except for physically opening and watching what's with the printhead. What do you suggest?

Hi @AnAnoun,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you've tried all the solutions in the manual and are still facing an issue with the blue color not printing, you may want to consider the following steps to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problem.

  • Check Ink Levels: Ensure that the blue ink cartridge has enough ink. Most printers allow you to check ink levels through the printer software or on the printer display panel.
  • Clean Printhead: Printers usually have a printhead cleaning option in the software or on the printer itself. Run the printhead cleaning utility to remove any dried ink or debris that might be causing the issue.
  • Align Printhead: Perform a printhead alignment to ensure that the printhead is properly aligned. Misalignment can lead to printing issues, including missing colors.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Make sure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause printing problems.
  • Check for Software Issues: Ensure that the application you are printing from is not causing the problem. Try printing from a different application or file to see if the issue persists.
  • Try a Different Document: Create or use a different document to print, as the issue may be specific to the document you are trying to print.
  • Inspect Cartridge: Remove the blue ink cartridge and inspect it. Check for any visible issues such as leaks or dried ink. If the cartridge seems damaged, consider replacing it.
  • Physical Inspection: While you mentioned that you haven't physically opened the printhead, carefully inspect the printhead area for any visible issues. Make sure there is no paper or debris stuck in the printhead area.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
