MY PRINTER SAYS THE YELLOW CARTRIDGE IS MISSING OR DAMAGED  IT IS BRAND NEW CARTRIDGE 

THE PRINTER WONT PRINT WITHOUT CARTRIDGE REPLACED   IS THERE A WAY TO OVERRIDE THAT UNTIL

I CAN GET A NEW CARTRIDGE?  I ONLY NEED THE BLACK

HP printer ink cartridge issues including 'Incompatible', 'Missing', 'Failure' and enrollment errors

Remove the defective cartridge.

Configure the printer to print black only (not gray or mono)

There are a few printer that can print with a cartridge missing.  I do not know about yours

To check if an HP ink cartridge is genuine, look for a security label on the cartridge, scan the QR code on the label with your phone, and then go to HP's website hp.com/go/ok to verify the serial number on the label; if the label appears tampered or the serial number doesn't validate, the cartridge is likely not genuine.
