Hi @Robin575,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're trying to print a document with a background color or image using your HP DeskJet 2852e All-in-One Printer on Windows 10 (64-bit). You’ll need to enable background printing in both your application settings and Windows print settings.

1. Enable Background Printing in Microsoft Word or Other Apps

If you're printing from Word or similar apps:

  1. Open Word.
  2. Go to File > Options > Display.
  3. Check the box for “Print background colors and images.”
  4. Click OK.

2. Enable Background Printing in Windows Settings

  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. Go to Devices and Printers.
  3. Right-click your HP DeskJet 2852e and select Printing Preferences.
  4. Look for any option related to Print QualityAdvanced, or Document Options.
  5. If available, enable background printing or set Print Quality to Best.

3. Use HP Smart App (Optional)

If you're printing from the HP Smart app:

  • Make sure the document includes the background.
  • Use Print Settings > Quality > Best to ensure backgrounds are rendered.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
