Pages not printing clearly

Hello, this printer prints out pages with poor quality. The top of a line of text is sometimes cut off, or there's a clear line that cuts through the text. The cartridge is completely new. 

I had a problem with the printer a few weeks ago, where it wasn't printing at all. I cleaned the cartridge area with rubbing alcohol, where the color ink cartridge had leaked and have taken out that cartridge. Initially, after doing this and letting it dry, the black and white pages were printing fine again. But now they don't even print clearly.

How do I fix this?

By the way, the photocopy function works fine. The problem is when I try to print from my laptop. I have updated my operating system to the latest version of Catalina, but my friend's computer, which has an older version of OS, produces the same poor print quality.
