Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

Recently photos are being printed with a pink hue.  I've checked that my software is up to date, and ran the Print and Scan doctor (which found nothing).  I'm using genuine HP ink cartridges (have since bought years ago).  Doesn't matter if I use plain paper or glossy photo paper.  Have tried printing under different programs (photo print under Microsoft, and Microsoft paint).  Same outcome

@OldeDad, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

To assist you better, what model printer are you using?

Refer to this document to know how to find the Product Name or Product Number.

Try making a standalone color copy from the flatbed glass and check the print quality. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi Kumar

Thanks for your response.

I have an HP Officejet 6600

The photocopy came out as a good reproduction of the original.  I made sure to include some white space in the print area.  It came out as white, not pinkish.

I have tried replacing my (almost depleted) black ink cartridge (XL).  also, I have cleaned the printheads four times.

That seems to have helped a bit.  But I just printed off a picture of the lovely white snow sticking to everything in the back yard.  It is white to see, but has a pink hue in the print.

@OldeDad

Which app are you using to print?

Try printing from a different app or a different photo to check if that helps.

Perform the steps mentioned in this document - Fixing Poor Print Quality Problems

You may also try printing from a different device to conclude if the issue is with the printing software or the printer itself.

Let me know how it goes.
